A New Year

It was a great holiday season for me but I am glad that it is almost over. I have been off since December 23rd and I find that I am starting to get bored. Although I have been practicing my Kung Fu it is not the same when you don’t have a peer group around you. I learn a lot from watching other people, having other people watch me and just being involved in class. It was a nice break but starting with the 1000 pushups/setups tomorrow, it’s time to get back into it. I am looking forward to the New Year and the start of UBBT 8. See you next week.

It's A Start!

2010 is ending in a whirlwind for me. I have been asked to perform the Lion Dance for the Chinese New Year’s Banquet (what a boost to your confidence not to mention what a huge honor). And this is where the whirlwind begins. We are practicing the lion dance 4 to 5 days a week, I have all my normal classes, and I have joined UBBT 8. It seems like my life is all Kung Fu right now but I am enjoying every second of it (it helps that my wife is very supportive and she understands that this is very important to me). Joining UBBT 8 was an easy decision as I intend to test for my Black Belt this year and I can’t think of a better way to prepare than that. Going into 2011 I am committed to achieving all the goals I have set for myself not just in kung fu but at home as well.
